TERMS & CONDITIONS


    Deposits & Payments:

  • A non refundable 50% deposit is required upon booking your product to secure your order. The remaining balance is then due 1 week prior to collection. If your order is within 2 weeks of your enquiry then full payment is due upon booking.

  • For weddings, a non refundable deposit of £50.00 will secure your order, with the remaining balance due 4 weeks prior to the wedding date.

  • Please note that your order WILL NOT be confirmed or booked into the diary until your deposit has been received.

  • Payments are accepted by bank transfer (preferable) or Paypal.

   Cancellations:

  • If you wish to cancel your order, please contact DD’s Cupcakes as soon as possible.

  • Due to our products being bespoke and made to order, any payments already made for cancelled orders cannot be refunded.

  • In the unlikely event that we need to cancel an order, we will give you as much notice as possible and a full refund of any payment that has been made to us.

   Design:

  • DD’s Cupcakes will use images you’ve supplied (that have been produced by someone else) as ideas & inspiration to create your bespoke order. But these images will not be replicated.

  • Slight variations in the colour and overall look of the cake/cupcakes/toppers may occur due to all items being hand crafted and made to order.

  • You may change the design of your cake after the booking has been made however; at least 3 week’s notice is required for celebration cakes, and 4 weeks for wedding cakes.

  • A change in the design or flavour of your cake/cupcakes may have an effect on the cost. This could go up or down and will be discussed upon changing the design.

   Collection, Delivery and Set Up:

  • A suitable collection time for both parties will be arranged upon booking.

  • Delivery of your cupcakes/cakes may be available and will be quoted for upon request should you require it. Delivery will depend on our current work load and the final cost of the order.

  • If you collect your cupcakes/cake, DD’s Cupcakes holds no responsibility for any damage or issue that may occur once the order has left the premises.

  • Delivery of Wedding cupcakes/cakes is always our preferred option.

  • Set up costs for wedding cupcakes/cake will be included in your quote if necessary.

  • Although we try our best to deliver cupcakes/cakes at the agreed time, DD’s Cupcakes cannot be held liable if weather, traffic (or other conditions that are out of our control) affect the time of delivery - we will try and notify you if we are running late due to any of these reasons however this may not always be possible.

  • Please make us aware of anything that may possibly make delivery difficult. For example, road works, no parking, the address being difficult to find etc. This information is extremely useful and saves time for both parties.

  • Once set up has been completed DD’s Cupcakes holds no responsibility if guests, florists, event planners, venue staff etc touch the cake/cupcakes.

  • If flowers or other non-food items are to be added to the cake/cupcakes you are fully aware that there may be particles such as pesticides & dirt on them that are unsuitable for consumption. It is solely your responsibility to ensure the items are made suitable to be inserted into the cake/cupcakes.

    Stand Hire:

  • Hire of our cupcake stands is available at a set fee of £15.00.

  • A refundable deposit of £45.00 is also required, this will be returned by bank transfer once the stand has been returned with 48 hours of the wedding/event, and the condition of the stand deemed satisfactory.

  • If the stand is returned late, not returned or returned in an unsatisfactory state the deposit will NOT be returned.

  • Please follow the care instructions on how to dissemble/pack the stand to ensure the correct handling of the item at all times.

    Publication & Advertising:

  • All photos taken by DD’s Cupcakes of your cake/cupcakes etc belong to and are copyrighted to DD’s Cupcakes.

  • The photos of your cake/cupcakes may appear on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and DD’s Cupcakes website, but are not limited to just these.

  • The photos of your cake/cupcakes may be used in further publications/advertising either by DD’s Cupcakes or by other businesses such as magazines, websites etc.

    Returns & Damages:

  • In the unlikely event you are not satisfied with the design of your cake/cupcakes you must make it known to us upon collection/delivery.

  • If an issue does arise with your cake/cupcakes a minimum of 90% of your order must be returned immediately so DD’s Cupcakes can fully examine the product for quality purposes and determine the issue, if apparent.

  • If DD’s Cupcakes agrees there is an issue with your order, an email will be sent detailing any action/refund if deemed necessary.

  • No refunds will be given on the account of personal taste/preference.

  • DD’s Cupcakes decision is final.

  • DD’s Cupcakes cannot be held responsible for any damage caused to the cake/cupcakes after collection/delivery.

  • Any repair work needed to a cake/cupcakes damaged through no fault of our own will incur an appropriate fee and will only happen if availability allows.

    Allergies:

  • All Allergies must be made known to DD’s Cupcakes upon ordering.

  • Gluten Friendly, Dairy Friendly and Vegan alternatives are available on request.

  • Products baked in DD’s Cupcakes kitchen are NOT suitable for people with NUT allergies.

  • Please note we do not have a separate kitchen area or equipment for allergy free baking, our kitchen also handles gluten (wheat), eggs, dairy and nuts on a daily basis therefore we cannot 100% guarantee an allergen free environment. Please bear this in mind before committing to the order.

  • If you have any questions about a dietary order, please do not hesitate to contact us.

   Postal Orders:

  • All postal orders require a minimum of 7 days notice.

  • Upon ordering an invoice will be sent out, and payment is required via bank transfer to secure the order and postal date.

  • Postal orders will be sent by 1st Class Recorded signed for delivery unless otherwise stated or agreed upon booking.

  • A signature will be required upon delivery, if sending as a gift; please ensure the recipient will be available to sign for the package.

  • Full address and contact details for both the person ordering the product and the recipient are required.

  • Orders will be sent out on the specified day to the address given, DD’s Cupcakes cannot be held responsible for any error with the delivery address if not supplied appropriately upon ordering.

  • Once the product has left DD’s Cupcakes premises it is then the responsibility of Royal Mail/Courier to deliver in a timely manner.

  • DD’s Cupcakes cannot be held responsible for a delay in delivery once the package is with Royal Mail/Courier.

  • Refunds will not be given on postal orders.

  • If the product arrives damaged, DD’s Cupcakes must be informed immediately by email with photographic evidence of the issue. DD’s Cupcakes will then suggest a solution to the issue if deemed necessary.
